I often find myself being overwhelmed with all of the things I need to accomplish prior to leaving Northern Virginia, where we have called home for almost 19 years. Lots of “Stuff” accumulated over the years and now having to sell, give, and throw away these things is proving to be a daunting task, but I know that on 30-April-2024, we will go to the airport with just 2 suitcases each. Our daughter, Jasmine, was only 4 years old when we moved to Virginia and now she’s already 22 years old. Lots of memories were made, from her first day of kindergarten to graduating from college last year. It’s amazing how quickly time has passed but I cherish every moment shared through the years. It seems like only yesterday that we decided to dedicate our lives to helping the children in the Philippines, but it has already been 10 years. We’re now only 68 days away from leaving NoVA and I still have a lot of things to get done, but I know deep down inside that it can be accomplished. I know that no matter how much I worry, God has everything perfectly planned for us to be used as His vessels for His Glory (Soli Deo Gloria). At the end of the day, these timeless hymns soothes my soul and reminds me not to worry and to put my trust in Him.
