I Worship You, Almighty God

Our Father in heaven has blessed us with the opportunity to raise our daughter, Jasmine, for over 22 years. We have truly enjoyed watching her grow throughout the years to become a young spiritual woman of God.

Jasmine grew up attending KCPC from Promise Land (Pre-K through 6th grade), All Stars (Middle school), Joshua Generation (High school), Sojourn (College) and now as a young adult attending KCPC English Ministry

When she was born over 22 years ago, and we named her Jasmine, we never imagined how much of a blessing she would be to our family. The name Jasmine is of Persian origin and is derived from the Persian word “yasamin,” which means “gift from God” or “God’s gift.”

I now realize that God sent Jasmine to us so that we would awaken from our slumber of living a worldly life and be filled with the Holy Spirit to take up our cross for Him. With each passing day, our time grows ever shorter to cherish every moment but we believe, with all our heart, that God will always be by her side and will light up her path and guide & protect her in our absence.

Luke 18:29-30 (NIV): “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

It is our prayer that God will use my wife and I to fulfill the mission he has set before us, as we prepare to depart for the Philippines on April 30, 2024. We truly look forward to being sent as Missionaries from KCPC to establish the Sorok Uni Foundation’s “Good Neighbor Orphanage.”

These spiritual passages from the bible have been our driving motivation, comfort and commission for our work ahead.

James 1:27 (NIV): “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Psalm 68:5 (NIV): “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”

Deuteronomy 10:18 (NIV): “He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.”
