Our 1st month in Manila…

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior.  Today is the one month mark since our arrival to the Philippines on 31-May-24.  What an incredible time it has been, from helping with the kids feeding program, visiting an orphanage, and just this past weekend, joining a medical mission at a nearby local church.

We’re slowly getting settled into our new home, with an internet connection finally installed, lights & plumbing fixed, cooking stove replaced, and a/c units cleaned. What we took for granted in the States has been an eye-opener and tested our patience.  The good news is that we can finally cook and eat at home. 😀

We’ve also visited the office of Sorok Uni Foundation and met with the Executive Director (Ms. April Castillo) along with her staff.

Coincidentally, we ran into Mr. Vicente Pacheco Jr. (Board of Directors member) after a meeting we had with someone assisting the foundation in acquiring space for the future orphanage/OSEC facility.

It has been a little over 2 months since we left NoVA (Northern Virginia), but it feels like so much longer.

God is moving mightily through the people He has put in our lives.  We pray that as the days, weeks, months, and years await us, we will be led by the Holy Spirit to guide us for His glory and righteousness.

We ask for your continued support and prayers for the following:

1. Our Philippines Visa will be approved soon.

2. The 4 boxes of household goods we shipped from Virginia will arrive soon.

3. Jasmine’s grandmother, from Washington State, will be arriving tomorrow (02-Jul-24) to visit us.  Prayers that she arrives safely and for God’s protection during her time with us.

4. Through an introduction to a brother in Christ Jesus, we have an opportunity through the Sorok Uni Foundation to acquire some land for us to build an orphanage/safe home for abused, neglected, abandoned & OSEC (Online Sexually Exploited Children).  We were amazed and quite surprised how this opportunity came to us in such a short period of time.  If it is God’s will, we pray that the process proceeds without any hindrance.

5. Continue to pray for the children in the Philippines that their Hopes and Prayers will be answered in the name of Jesus Christ.
