Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Season’s greetings! We hope you and your families had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We pray for a Christmas filled with peace, love, and joy for you all.
News from OSAEC:
We received some unexpected news in November: funding for the OSAEC center for girls was not approved. While disappointed initially, we trust God has a greater plan for OSAEC and our mission. This means some adjustments. Sorok Uni Foundation, led by Elder Jang, will move forward with a smaller OSAEC center in Manila, initially accommodating 20 girls. JinJu and I will commute to the center several times a week. JinJu will teach piano and Korean, while I’ll help with tutoring. We ask for your prayers as we navigate God’s plan.
Feeding Program Updates:
Angeles City: On November 17th and 18th, we returned to Angeles City for the feeding program. We surprised the children with donuts and Banana ChocoPies for breakfast both days. They were delighted! (^^)

Jaoville Happy Church: Afterwards, we dropped off food, donuts, and ChocoPies for the children at Jaoville Happy Church to enjoy after their Sunday service.

Bamboo School Refuge Center Visit:
In late November, David Mcready, the feeding program founder, invited us to visit the Bamboo School refuge center near the Myanmar (Burma) and Thailand border. The center, established 24 years ago by a Christian missionary from New Zealand named Catherine Ruth Riley-Bryan, cares for children. The children call her “Mama Cat.” Sadly, she was bedridden during our visit due to a leg infection. We joined morning and evening worship services held in her room. We even rode with “Mama Cat” in an ambulance to Bangkok for her follow-up appointment at the Mission Hospital.
The Bamboo School currently houses 67 children and has empowered nearly 700 children in its 24 years. We were deeply moved by our conversations with “Mama Cat” about her work and loved interacting with the children who showered us with affection. We made a small donation to the center and gave each child gummy treats. Mama Cat had them recite a Bible verse to earn them.

Prayer Requests:
- For Carleton and JinJu: We pray for God’s guidance as Carleton and JinJu lead small groups for middle and high school students at Manila New Life Church in the new year. May the Holy Spirit guide them as they minister to current and new students, leading them to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and experience a life abundant in God’s love.
- For the OSAEC Girls: We pray for God’s guidance and direction as we lead the 20 OSAEC girls in lessons and tutoring in the new year.
- For JinJu’s Training: We pray that JinJu’s current 10-week training program in Rapha Psychological Counseling through Art will equip her to effectively help those at the Sorok Uni OSAEC Center in the future.
- For Protection and Strength: We pray for physical and spiritual protection for us all, so we may always be able to overcome any ailments or obstacles in Jesus’ name.
