JinJu returned home safely to Manila on the evening of May 28th. We thank God for the time she spent reconnecting with our daughter Jasmine and sharing our progress with KCPC members. We are truly grateful for the love and support our sending church continues to provide for our mission here in the Philippines.
On Sunday, June 1, after Sunday service at Manila New Life Church, we joined Pastor Vincent Billones and his wife Mharie for the Sunday service at Kamada – Boys Town, about an hour’s drive away. Pastor Vincent leads worship there every 1st and 3rd Sunday, ministering to the mentally challenged residents—one of five facilities on site. Single mothers and their children also attend. Volunteers from Pastor Vincent’s church served PB&J sandwiches and water after the service.

During our visit, Mharie shared something remarkable: the staff at Kamada have noted a profound change in the residents’ behavior following each service. What was once a setting of frequent arguments has become surprisingly peaceful—residents no longer fight but instead sing praises throughout the week. All praise to God! We believe the Holy Spirit is at work. The staff coordinator asked us to continue these visits, as they are truly impacting the community.
Before leaving Kamada – Boys Town, we visited their office and donated three “Water of Life” filters and some clothes. The manager expressed deep appreciation, saying they’ve been praying for a solution to the community’s dysentery problem—caused by waterborne illnesses. Our contribution came at just the right time, and she saw it as an answered prayer.

On Friday, June 6, we visited Cutud Happy Church near Angeles City and committed to monthly visits to the end of the year. During each visit, Pastor Ricky and us have been doing five home visitations in the village. Since starting in February, church attendance has grown from around 20 to almost 60 people. Praise God! A revival is taking place, with many now attending a 5 a.m. dawn service. We provided five families with basic necessities—rice, eggs, canned tuna, baby wipes, milk, and cookies. Afterwards, we treated Pastors Jerry, Ricky, Aurelio, and Evangelista Jonalyn to their first Thai meal at a local restaurant.

The following day, Saturday, June 7, we joined the orphanage’s monthly water-gun festival. We gave the children bubbles and hairpins—gifts kindly donated by a KCPC sister. JinJu was especially happy to reconnect with Rose Ann. After the festival, we helped staff from “Banana Man” serve pandesal with peanut butter to the children.

After that visit, we invited Evangelista Jelma and Marie’s family for lunch and ice cream. Jelma had cared for Marie’s children the previous day while Marie attended seminary classes, so she couldn’t join the pastors for lunch.
